Ubuntu Myanmar LoCo Team

Ubuntu Myanmar LoCo Team is an officially verified team by the Ubuntu Council established with the objective of providing support for ease in use of Ubuntu Operating System in Computers across Myanmar.

Ubuntu for Myanmar initiated in 2009 since than, it has been a youth focused organization that has been actively organizing Ubuntu and Open Source Software related events, workshops and offered free classes on Open Source software. It has been praised by the IT communities and portrayed as the most active organization for hosting events frequently.

Ubuntu intermediate class

With the invitation from the Ubuntu Council in late 2010, organization transformed into LoCo Team standing for LoCo community, whose aim is to offer support for Ubuntu locally. The Ubuntu Myanmar LoCo Team has been completely approved for its excellent qualifications by the Ubuntu Community Council on 16 November 2011.

Ubuntu Myanmar LoCo Team is One of the active and officially recognized LoCo team in Asia among the 60 total LoCo teams. A team requires re-approval on every 3 years basis and it is only approved if the team demonstrates its goals clearly and executes a actions to achieve them.

The Myanmar team focuses on distributing, advertising and demonstrating Ubuntu within Myanmar (Burmese). Through the development of our projects we focus on the areas of schools, business and home users.

Terminal ကိုဖွင့်ပါ။ ပြီးနောက် အောက်ပါ command တို့ကိုရိုက်ပါ ။

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:peterlevi/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install variety; sudo apt-get install -f

သွင်းပြီးနောက် Terminal တွင် အောက်ဖော်ပြပါ command ကို ရိုက်ပါ ။

This morning was very pleasant day for all of your work done. Our team was reapproved this morning 2:00AM Myanmar Time for next couple of year.

See our Ubuntu loco team portal . Verified loco team was with coloured . All of our success was all of your contribution .

Last night , we special thanks to  Ko Ko Ye who working hard in our team , heinhtet who treat us foods and internet connection and Ethan Kurt who help documentation  for  Team . And than  thohi who rent unofficial office in 2012-2013 for us , pyaesone  who translation in Myanmar Ubuntu Translation project , Naing Ye Min who coding us for my-fs-cli and other softwares , Sai Mawn Kham  who worked for Ubuntu Shan Loco Team , Htut Myat who worked for Mandalay Ubuntu User Group , CoHein who worked for Mandalay Ubuntu User Group , Saw Khaing who worked for Mandalay Ubuntu User Group  and Negative Thunder who worked for Mandalay Ubuntu User Group  .  We can’t success without you guy . For the past , we done with you and for the future please more contribute to our team if you guy got a chance . In our team , I am very poor in coding but try to writing articles and help people to use Ubuntu in Myanmar .

Roadmap

    • Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC)

    This event was the one of our milestone in our Roadmap. YCDC has completly change the Ubuntu OS and we were act as the instructor at there.

*To provide technical support and teaching about ubuntu by opening Ubuntu Introduction Courses.

  • Note: :Since internet connection in our country is terribly slow, we’ll provide local repository servers in numerous places, to provide offline installation and updating.
  • To publish a weekly journal about Ubuntu with Internet Journal.
  • Ubuntu user guides for every new Ubuntu user from Myanmar
  • Making tutorial videos for local ubuntu users.

Translation and Localization

We had finished Ubuntu version 11.04 / 12.04 in Burmese Language. Our team is currently trying to work on Ubuntu Burmese Localization  .

Ubuntu operating system တွင်　Kingsoft Office  ကိုထည့်သွင်း　အသုံးချင်သူများအတွက်　Alpha 11　ကို　Community မှ　ဖြန့်ဝေလိုက်ပါသည်- ယခုဖြန့်လိုက်သော　Alpha version တွင်　အောက်ဖော်ဖြပါ　#bug များကို　ပြန်လည်ပြုပြင်လိုက်ပြီးဖြစ်ပါသည်။
၁။　အင်္ဂလိပ်ဘာသာ　စကားမဟုတ်သူများအတွက်　စာလုံးပေါင်းသတ်ပုံ　စစ်ဆေးပေးခြင်း　ကို　အသစ်ထပ်မံထည့်ပေးထားပါသည်။
၂။　KDE　တွင်　 Open and Save dialog boxes　များ　ပုံမှန်ဖွင့်၍　မရခြင်းကိုပြုပြင်လိုက်ပါသည်။
၃။　Kingsoft Office　တွင်　printer settings များအသုံးပြုမရခြင်းကို　ပြုပြင်လိုက်ပါသည်။
၄။　PDF သို့　Export လုပ်ပြီးနောက်ချက်ချင်း　PDF　ဖိုင်အားဖွင့်မရခြင်းကို　ပြုြုပင်လိုက်ပါသည်။
၅။　Desktop တစ်ခုတည်းတွင်　User account တစ်ခုတည်းမှ　တစ်ခုထပ်ပိုမို၍　ဖွင့်မရခြင်းကို　　ပြုြုပင်လိုက်ပါသည်။
၆။　 Insert tab　တွင်　 File button ပျောက် ခြင်းကို　ပြုြုပင်လိုက်ပါသည်။
၇။　Kingsoft Writer　အသုံးပြုနေစဉ်　Table များ　အတွင်း　Formula များထည့်သွင်းရာ　formula အဖြေများမှန်ကန်မှုမရှိခြင်းကို　ပြုြုပင်လိုက်ပါသည်။
Kingsoft Office　ကို　WPS Office ဟုလူသိများနေသလို　မိုက်ကရိုဆော့　မှ　ရုံးလုပ်ငန်းသုံး　office suite နှင့်　ပုံစံတူ　အခမဲ့　ရဆော့ဝဲလ်　ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
Kingsoft Office သည်　Debian base OS  များ　၊　RPM base OS များ　နှင့်　source အနေဖြင့်ပါ　download  ပြုလုပ်နိုင်သည်　။
32 bit စက်များအတွက်အောက်ပါအတိုင်းပြုလုပ်နိုင်ပါသည်။
Ctrl + Alt + T (or) Open Terminal
$ wget -c wdl.cache.ijinshan.com/wps/download/Linux/unstable/kingsoft-office_9.1.0.4096~a11p1_i386.deb
$sudo dpkg -i (packagename.deb)
$sudo apt-get install -f
64 bit စက်များအတွက်အောက်ပါအတိုင်းပြုလုပ်နိုင်ပါသည်။
ia32-libs　packageကိုဦးစွာသွားရပါမည်။
Ctrl + Alt + T (or) Open Terminal
$ sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
$ wget -c wget -c wdl.cache.ijinshan.com/wps/download/Linux/unstable/kingsoft-office_9.1.0.4096~a11p1_i386.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i (packagename.deb)
$ sudo apt-get install -f
(packagename.deb)　နေရာတွင်သင် download ပြုလုပ်ထားသော　package ကို　ထည့်ရမည်။
