Ubuntu 21.10 ကတော့ မကြာသေးခင်က ထွက်ရှိထားတဲ့ Gnome 40, GCC11 နဲ့ Flutter toolkit ပိုင်း စုံစုံလင်လင်နဲ့ ထွက်ရှိလာတော့မှာပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်

Ubuntu 21.10 codename – ‘Impish Indri’ လို့ အမည်ပေးထားပါတယ်.

New Features တွေ ဘာတွေပါ၀င်လာမလဲ

Official feature list အနေနဲ့ တိတိကျကျ ထွက်မလာသေးပေမဲ့လည်း ပါ၀င်လာနိုင်တဲ့ features တွေကတော့

1. Gnome 40

သိသာတဲ့အပြောင်းအလဲအနေနဲ့ မကြာသေးခင်ကထွက်ရှိထားတဲ့ Gnome 40 ပါ၀င်လာပြီး workspaces နဲ့ dash တွေကို horizontal design ပုံစံအနေနဲ့ မြင်တွေ့ရမှာပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်

2. Theme Change

Desktop Environment အပိုင်းမှာတော့ Window Color – Light , Dark mode ပဲပါ၀င်လာပြီး Standard(mixed-color) တော့ Ubuntu 21.10 မှာ မပါလာတော့ပါဘူး။ Light mode ကတော့ Default ဖြစ်နေမှာပါ

3. New Desktop Installer [မပါဝင်လာသေးပါ]

New Desktop installer အနေနဲ့ OS installation ပိုင်းမှာ ပိုမိုလွယ်ကူတဲ့ user experience ပိုင်းတွေနဲ့ပြောင်းလဲထားပြီး repair installation featrue အသစ်ပါ ပါ၀င်လာပါတယ်

4. Zstd Compression

Ubuntu 21.10ကနေစပြီး Facebookကနေ developed လုပ်တဲ့ ‘Zstd’ ကို .deb packages တွေမှာ အသုံးပြုလာတော့မှာပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ် ဒီအပြောင်းအလဲက packaegs/archivesတွေ decompressing လုပ်တာမှာ ပိုမြန်လာတဲ့အတွက် installation speed တွေသိသာလာမှာပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်

Final stable release ကလည်းထွက်ရှိလာပါပြီ လက်ရှိ Ubuntu 21.04 အသုံးပြုနေတာဆိုရင် ဒီ link ကတဆင့် Ubuntu 21.10 ကို upgrade လုပ်နိုင်ပါတယ်
